Hella marine MagCode Power Systems are a revolutionary plug and socket solution for 12V and 24V
systems. Unlike conventional connectors, MagCode Power Systems utilise magnetically coded flat
contacts to deliver safe power across modular devices, far superior to ubiquitous cigarette lighter type
sockets.
Both the port (outlet / socket) and the clip (connector / plug) feature powerful magnets with an integral
switching function ensuring a stable connection and safe power supply. Other metal objects of
permanent magnets cannot energise the contacts at any time making the outlet completely safe and
100% short circuit protected.
MagCode Power System Plus feature an additional mechanical twist lock offering greater security
(higher separation forces) and reliable prevention of arcing. The mechanical twist lock ensures the
automatic switching does not occur before the outside contact is securely fastened, eliminating
problems associated with arching.
MagCode Power Systems are water and dust resistant, easy to clean and suitable for retrofitting into
a vast range of vessels. Available in 12V DC and 24V DC variants, the magnets of the two voltage
variants are coded differently to avoid mix-ups.
